Pareto and the 80/20 rule
After more than a year as a home-business owner, I can offer some advice to anybody starting up.
First, Focusing on your strengths and passions is extremely important.
Subjecting yourself to constant torture doing something you don't like is a one way ticket
back to getting back in the rat race. If you struggle putting an opt-in box code on your landing page, don't force yourself!
Hire a high school tech-head who will do this stuff in minutes for a few dollars. That brings me
to my second tip;
Follow Pareto's 80/20 rule. As you may know by now, most successful entrepreneurs follow this rule by spending at least 80% of their time on the tasks that they are good at and brings in the sales. The rest, they outsource or give the job to their staff.
The rule is simple - Pareto discovered that 20% of the people had 80% of the wealth in most countries. This is also true of most things in business. 20% of your clients are bringing 80% of your income.
Could you focus more on serving those top 20% clients to maybe bring more...
Have a great Thanksgiving.
