How I bring more traffic to my website is
dependant on many techniques that I use
consistently. Keyword research is
extremely important.

The content presentation on my pages is very important.
I use my main
keyword in a natural way and use a
few other keywords to make sure that
my pages are relevant and search engine friendly.
I don't overuse my main keyword or I may
run into trouble with the search engines.
I don't want my site to get banned
for keyword stuffing.

Here is what I do
to bring more traffic to my website.

First, my objective is to be on the
first page of the search engines results
when somebody types in a certain keyword
phrase that is relevant to the content
on my website.

I choose my keyword phrases
carefully to bring more traffic to my website.
General keyword of on or two terms won't get you far. Those are not really targeted
and they have a ton of competition.
I always pick a keywords that
have low competition.

For example;
I have a web site on poker and I want
to sell some videos. If I pick "poker videos"
I am probably going to have a hard time
ranking for that search term on the first
page because there must be a ton of
web site with that keyword phrase.
But "texas holdem poker tips video" is
much more targeted and has probably less
competition. If It has less than 10k
competing results, It is going to be easier to
bring more traffic to my website. You can see the competing
results on Google on the right side just
above the listed results. It will say
something like "results 1-10 of 10,809"
for example.

I use the Overture Keyword tool here;
http://inventory.overture.com.

Second, I bring more traffic to my website
by getting a list of twenty of
those keyword phrases and write an article
of 350 to 600 words for each.
If I submit my website to directories
like Dmoz.org and publish articles to
ezines, I will get more traffic.
I also post on relevant forums and
blogs. Social networking sites are good too.

To bring more traffic to my website requires
some work. But it can be done if you are
persistent and apply this methods regularly.
